Q. What is the difference between FTPpix.com and eBay's picture hosting?
A. There are many differences, all to your advantage! First and foremost is price. eBay provides you the first image free with your listing, but then charges you .15? for each additional image you include in each auction. If you wanted to do a simple Slideshow with six images (eBay calls it a Picture Show) it would cost you .90? for the five additional images, above your first free image, plus .25? for the Slideshow (Picture show). That?s an added cost of $1.15 above the auction listing fees just for images on one auction listing. Imagine selling an Automobile on eBay and you wanted to do a Slideshow with 30 different views like our example. It would cost you more in image fees for one listing than the cost of our Starter Plan for a month. With our service not only can you create a Slideshow; you can also create Image Galleries , Portfolios, 360-Degree Spins and more! With ebay, each time you post a new auction you have to upload the photos to their server over and over again with every listing! Once you upload your images to our server, they stay here for you to use again and again until you delete them. You have complete control over managing your images and account. You can track the number of times your images have been viewed and more! Our service sells itself! Most of our customers have gone right from the demo area to signing for an account.
Q. How do I display the pictures I uploaded in my actions?
A. You can add galleries, portfolios, slide shows, 360? spins or just a hot link to a single image you want to show on most any auction service including eBay, Amazon, Yahoo and more. All the coding you need is created for you. You simply "cut & paste" our code into your auction description. It's that simple!
Q. What type of files can I upload?
A. You can upload JPG, GIF and PNG files.
Q. Do I have limitations on content?
A. Using a FTPpix.com service account to advertise, transmit, store, post, display, or otherwise make available pornography or obscene material is in violation of our AUP, Acceptable use Policy Terms and Conditions. Any account that violates the policies outlined in our AUP will be terminated immediately.
Q. What kind of technical support is available if I need help?
A. If you are having a problem signing up for an account or have pre-sales or support questions not covered here or under the plan details, please go to our contact page for information on how to contact us via on-line form, direct email or telephone. We will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have. You will always receive a friendly reply from one of our staff members.
Q. I lost my account password. How do I get access to my account again?
A. If you lose your password simply press login leaving both the email address and password fields blank. You will receive a link to a page to enter your email address. Once you enter your email address the password associated with that email account will be emailed to you. Please remember to keep your password safe and secure. You should always use at least six characters, alternating between upper and lower case using numbers and letters.
Q. Can I email picture displays to somebody?
A. Any image display you create at ftppix.com can be easily inserted into any email message. The great thing about this is you just cut and paste a simple link that is created for you, in your email message. No more having to attach your photos to email messages to share photos with friends, family, customers or business colleagues. No more tying up their email resources and filling up their mailbox space with photos you send. They open your email message and just simply click the link you have inserted in your email message, and voila! They?re viewing your great photos.
Q. How can I unsubscribe from your service?
A. You can easily unsubscribe by going to your Account/Preferences section after logging in. Then just simply click the unsubscribe button. Your account will be closed and you will be taken to paypal to cancel your subscription with us. It?s that easy. Then when you need our service again, just simply sign up for a new account! The days left until your next subscription renewal are always displayed under your account preferences.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. In order to continue to offer low cost, value added service to all our FTPpix members we only accept PayPal for payment. This allows our new customers to gain immediate access to our service 24hrs. a day, 7 days a week. This also provides our customers complete control over starting and stopping our service at anytime. Please remember you MUST use the same email address for your FTPpix member ID that you use with your paypal account. If the email address on your FTPpix account does not match the payment we receive from PayPal, your access to our service be terminated and the Paypal payment received will be refunded. This insures account security for both you and FTPpix.com. Please do not ask us to make exceptions to this policy.
